The Power of Any Joomla Component

Joomla is content management software. With the help of Joomla you can build web sites online applications. Joomla’s popularity rose due to its uncomplicated and easy way of usage and also due to its features that can be modified and changed. Joomla is easy to obtain and downloaded for free. There are five types of Joomla extensions: Joomla module, Joomla component, Joomla Plugins, Joomla Templates and Joomla Languages.

What is a Joomla component? A Joomla component is a distinct application. The Joomla component consists of its own set of functions. Its database is unique and so is its presentation. Therefore when you install a Joomla component on your web site, you are actually adding an application. Examples of this can be a forum, a newsletter or a photo gallery. They will all act as different applications – as individual systems. Only a single component will be shown on the main page of your web site. The menu will be a kind of switch between different components.

A Joomla module is completely different from the Joomla component. Modules are extensions that provide some information on your web site. Basically a Joomla module is a way of portraying information that is already present on the web site. This feature adds an additional function to an already existing application or the Joomla component. A Joomla module is not an objective application, it will put forward certain information or it will append a function to an already existing application.

Therefore in concise a Joomla module is a unique section that is arranged within each part of your web site. The Joomla module consists of wide variety of features like menus, advertisements, information, recent blog comments and many more. Each module can be placed at various locations of the web page.

There are numerous advantages of CMS. It is friendly software for managing your web sites. It can also be used to manage your documents and share them with your colleagues. Any information that is regulated by the CMS can be altered, added to or edited by the company’s people. With Joomla CMS it is a lot easier to undertake the search engine optimization task. There is a link building Joomla component that has auto link check feature, simple and popular URL components and many other features.

There are many types of Joomla components. Some are used to manage a review site or manage the review portion of your web site. This Joomla component allows users to comment and rate. It also allows ratings on a number of variables. It permits users to submit articles and create custom field sets. Another Joomla component allows creation and management of slideshow photo gallery album.

There are Joomla components that can be used for e-commerce web sites. The key features of these components are that they manage unlimited number of products and categories, orders and customers. They are simple to configure and they are incorporated with various shipping components. The Joomla component provides the option to add shipping carriers and shipping rates. A complete support for various payment gateways is also provided.

We are one of the topmost companies in providing Joomla component solutions. If you want to extend the capability of your Joomla components, then our Joomla module is a perfect answer.

3 Free Search Engine Optimization Tips

3 Free Search Engine Optimization Tips

There are many free search engine optimization tips out there that can help you to organically rank higher on Google for any given piece of content. I’ve laid out three of my favorite ones below.

Backlinking

This is very important if you want to have any of your content rank high on search engines like google, and it applies to any piece of content, an article, a video, a blog post, Squidoo lens or hubpage. Backlinking is when you provide a link to a certain piece of content so that you can continue to funnel people through your content. For example, if you have an article that you wrone on ezine articles and you want that article to rank higher on the search engines you need to have backlink other content to that article so that it has more inbound links. If you create a video about a piece of the article you can link that video to the main article, and if you have another article that is similar to the article you want to rank then you link the smaller article to the main article. This creates inbound links to your main article which gives it the appearance of more importance according to Google.

Focus On Your Keywords

Free search engine optimization tip number two is to focus on your keywords but you want to be careful about step. You definitely want your keyword to be in the first few words of your title and the closer to the front the better, start your article with your keyword(s) in the first sentence and you want to sprinkle it in your content where it makes sense. If you put your keyword too many times in your content Google will penalize you for it and it won’t rank high on the search engines. You also want to finish your content with your keyword as well because Google looks at content and reads it from left to right, so seeing your keyword(s) in the beginning of the title, first sentence in your content, and the last sentence in your content helps you rank higher on Google.

Do Your Research

The third and final free search engine optimization tip has to do with the second one. You want to make sure you’re doing your research on these keywords, make sure that they’re not overly saturated and you can easily rank with them. A good indication of whether or not a keyword is too saturated is by simply doing a Google search, look up the word and if it has over 100,000 hits it’s going to be a little difficult to take over that keyword. Also make sure that when you look up your keyword you look it up without quotation marks and with them, when you add quotation marks to a word, “home business” for example, the search engine only looks for those two words grouped together.

If you start using these free search engine optimization techniques you’ll start generating an abundance of leads based on your high organic rank in the search engines.

What Is Search Engine Optimization ie SEO?

What Is Search Engine Optimization ie SEO?

Amidst all the terms and acronyms in the web design, hosting and web business world is SEO. SEO is search engine optimization. Simple enough, right? Well, actually SEO is an ever-changing and rather complex process, and one that should be thought of as an ongoing task with each website you own or manage.

While there are many aspects to search engine optimization, keeping up to date on the newest is critical for the best search results page rankings. While SEO integrates content, keywords, site design and back linking, one new and very critical component to good search engine rankings is unique, high quality content. Meta tags, keywords and phrases and more also play into modern SEO and web marketing strategies.

Search engines today are looking for more than keywords. Engine algorithms, including Google’s are being reworked to look for unique, new and quality content. Fortunately, new, unique, well-written good quality content appeals not only to search engine spiders, but also to your site visitors. If you have the keywords, anchor text, and back links in place, but your rankings still are not what you would like, think about making certain that you are keeping your content new and unique.

While you may be familiar with keywords, for instance search engine optimization for an article such as this one, the concept of key phrases may be new. Key phrases are short phrases that are likely to be typed into a search bar together. When planning and working on your site content, include likely key words and key phrases for your topic to increase the likelihood that your site will come up on a given relevant search.

Meta tags are just one part of the answer to the what is SEO question; however, they are an important one. Today, your page title and actual content are more important for results page rankings and SEO than Meta tags. Visitors to your site cannot see Meta Tags, however search engine spiders can see them. Meta tags are located in the “HEAD” section of an HTML document, and may include the author’s name and email, copyright information, and most importantly, a description and also keywords.

When working to answer questions about what is SEO, keep all elements of proper white hat optimization in mind. Take the time to regularly read up on the latest SEO news, and think of optimization as an ongoing process not a one-time site revamp.

Joomla Content Management System And SEO

Joomla Content Management System And SEO

We should first be clear that SEO refers to Search Engine Optimization and that SEO is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from any search engines. In other words, the objective of the SEO is to give the web-page more visibility through ranking, and more depth through linking. SEO is also referred to as being SEF, or Search Engine Friendly. It should be noted that most of the search engines do have the facility to submit feeds which can be utilized to enhance the search capabilities of the engine. This feature is particularly of use to those web pages that require to be updated on the contents at regular intervals or frequency, while there are pages that are static but could do with some feed to boost their capability to enhance visibility. It is important at this juncture to know that each page is on a sitemap, which in turn is a collection of hyperlinks that clearly define the overall structure of a particular website. The sitemap facilitates not just the user, but also the search engine spider, to navigate and also index the website more efficiently. This in turn provides a very clear view of the contents of each website.

In defining the co-relation of Joomla and SEO, it is important to know that one of the major advantages of running the Joomla content management system is the fact that you can download and install a number of different sitemap components that will on configuration automatically display the contents of your web site in a site-map format to the visitors as well as the search engine spiders. It is heartening to note that in looking towards this as a requirement, Google has itself endorsed the need for the inclusion of a sitemap on the website and has accordingly created the option Google Sitemaps.

It is very imperative that prior to creating a sitemap, we ensure that the page titles, meta descriptions and the SEO clearly reflects the contents of your individual page. This will then assist the site visitors and search engine spiders to understand the contents of the web page, and be able to index as well as rank it accordingly.

Now, when writing the contents for the Joomla web-site, you must create it for the users and not the search engines. In other words, you will have to focus on creating the contents relevant to your web-site on a Joomla template site rather than focus on writing content for the Joomla templates itself. This is where most fail to create a demarcation. In Joomla, it is worthwhile making the targeted keywords in H1 and H2 for highlighting, which otherwise have no significance in SEO. Once you have defined your target audience, irrespective of the search engine being used, try and build up a list of sites with similar interests.

Lastly, if in Joomla you are not using sections and categories for the static page/s, then do create a generic section for these as a website content. In fact, create separate categories for each static page.

Search Engine Optimization Guide for Beginners ? Content is King

Search Engine Optimization Guide for Beginners ? Content is King

How often do we see a site which has little or no relevant content? Everyone must have heard “Content is the King” phrase. Yes, it’s an oft repeated and very clichéd but the fact is that it is important for a very good reason. A site with useful, relevant and compelling content is more likely to influence your websites rankings in search Engines than any other factor. Users will flock to a site again and again, which has a good content. They will recommend others to do so by putting up backlinks, by bookmarking, by social media sites, forums or simply word of mouth. Come to think of it like a great movie. Yes, good marketing and publicity helps but what makes viewers come back again and again to theatres to watch the movie again is its content. This human behavior is replicated everywhere.

If a website is offering great information or some kind of service, then users would like to take advantage of it, become its member. Perhaps a blogger may post its reference on his/her next post and so on.

So what are things we have to keep in mind while writing content for a website?

1) Easy to read and follow: The website should have lucid and easy to read content which makes it available to a larger demography. Spelling and grammatical mistakes may tarnish the reputation, so avoid them. Many sites have text embedded in images; this can make it unreadable to search engines.

2) Focused, Organized: The content should be focused on a particular topic. Different sections should be organized such that users can easily access the content. Web pages with large content may be broken down in to pages with clear navigation. Titles, Headings, Bold, italics, tables, paragraphs and bullets should be used to make content understandable.

3) Use relevant language and phrases: Different users usually search for different phrases. An insider in any particular industry may use technical terms which may be Latin to an end user. Use words that match your audience. Still better, make content with an aim to help every section of demography.

4) Fresh & Unique: This is very vital. Make sure that your site is regularly updated with unique content. The content should not be plagiarized from other sources. It’s unethical and is frowned upon by internet community. Good reputation cannot be built upon poor quality website.

5) Useful content & services: A website that provides useful content like Wikipedia or services like Yahoo’s mail is more likely to be successful. Your website can also provide some useful content or services (though understandably on a smaller scale than Wikipedia or yahoo) and can get popular quickly then it’s competitors.

6) Aim at users: Many webmasters design/develop a site and its content with sole aim at attracting search engines. They stuff keywords within the content which makes it quite unintelligible to a human reader. Many insert hidden text only for search engines. These actions may backfire. Your site should target the human reader first and at the same time make it accessible to search engines also.

SEO Tips For Newbies

SEO Tips For Newbies

SEO or search engine optimization knowledge is critical for the person starting out in e-commerce. Whether you want to blog, run an online store or do anything else successfully online, you need to figure out how to get noticed by search engines so that people can find you. Understanding SEO is critical for anyone who wants to be successful in online enterprise.

An important aspect of search engine optimization is the fact that you need to invest time and effort into your website on a regular basis in order get traffic and keep traffic continuously increasing. If you allow your website to sit and collect cobwebs it won’t do much for you.

SEO Tip #1:

There isn’t a magical formula; at least not one that’s evergreen so it’s important to stay current on SEO news. Dig deep to find information and read everything you can. You’ll find conflicting information at times but knowledge is power so absorb as much SEO news as you can.

SEO Tip # 2:

Create an easy to follow design with a standard homepage, easily viewable links and a site index. This way, people and search engines can find their way around easily and so can people.

SEO Tip # 3:

Determine what your target keywords are. There are some great tools out there that can help you both for free or for a small fee. Often it’s fairly easy to figure this out on your own.

Ask yourself:

What are the top three to five words or phrases you would use if you were use to search for the product or topic you are selling? Be sure that those words are on each page of your website, especially in titles, headings and at the beginning, middle and end of each page. It’s a good idea to use variations as well to give your site further credibility and increase the Long Tail.

SEO Tip # 4:

SEO Fact : Content is king. Always will be. Don’t assume that more is better in terms of keywords. Do not fall victim to the temptation to simply keyword stuff your site otherwise two things will happen. First, you’ll get banned by the search engines and even worse, you’ll be ignored by the humans who land on your page. Both types of visitors can see through vain SEO attempts to trick you to get onto their site.

Instead, you want to target the fine line between having enough keyword relevancy to make it impossible for the search engines to ignore you but not so much that your human visitors find your content to be poor quality. Hire a professional SEO article writer if you have to in order to come across as professional. Keep fresh content on your pages and change your content regularly. You don’t have to waste what you’ve put effort and money into, instead move your old content into archives so it continues to work for you as well.

SEO Tip # 5:

Web 2.0 is all about social networking. Social networking, social book marking, forum posting and link exchanges can be invaluable If you can get high ranking websites in your niche to exchange links with you, this can help. If you are blogging, comment on other blogs in your niche to get a link back to your site and generate interest from bloggers that frequent other sites in your niche. If you use tools like Technorati, Digg, StumbleUpon and other social book marking tools on your pages with appropriate tagging, you can bring relevant traffic fairly quickly and it’s viral so others will do the same. Social networking activities are also indexed by the search engines.

In summary, there are basic to advanced seo techniques and seo tips that you can use to get noticed by the big three search engines. Your results will depend a lot on how narrow your niche is but there are some basic things you can do to be search engine friendly from the start. It’s never too late to optimize your site though so don’t lose heart if you didn’t follow this advice on your website from the beginning. Here are some basic ideas. This is not an exhaustive list but is a great place to start.
